Solar Umbrella Project — evaporative cooling system and clean-energy shade

An urban boulevard lined with smart solar nodes. Each canopy generates renewable electricity and powers evaporative cooling systems — providing shade and thermal resilience during heatwaves while supplying clean energy to nearby cafés, terraces, e-bikes, and EV chargers.

The Smart Solar Umbrella-Node Project

Turning shade into clean energy.

A New Class of Climate Solutions

The Solar Umbrella-Node is the basic cell of a new distributed urban energy and climate ecosystem. It transforms passive shade structures into productive climate-energy assets that locally produce, store, and share clean power. Each node expands its function over time — from providing shade, cooling, and device charging to powering e-bikes and EVs, and participating in local energy exchange. As multiple nodes connect, they evolve into Climate Pods, e-Mobility Oases, and Solar Agoras, eventually forming microgrids and virtual power plants — Solar Patios, Solar Gardens, and Solar Forests that regenerate cities and support resilience, adaptation, and urban decarbonization. My sustainable product is not an umbrella. It is an urban solar micro-grid node — one that currently takes the familiar form of an umbrella. It is a solar node for the city — a new cell in the urban energy ecosystem, expressed today in the familiar language of shade.

Impact & Opportunities

☀️ Renewable Power

Each unit produces, stores and circulates locally, clean solar energy, reducing carbon emissions, pollution, electricity costs and grid dependence.

🌡️ Thermal Comfort

Provides shade and climate comfort in public areas, creating cooler, more livable spaces.

🔋 Distributed Energy Network

A modular unit that can grow into clusters, forming Solar Terraces, Climate Pods, or entire energy networks.

Be Part of the Pilot Project

We’re inviting partners, cafés, and municipalities to co-create the first generation of Solar Umbrellas for cities and coastal areas.
